The steps highlighted with asterisks (*) are where our products are being used

Korean routine step 1: Oil Cleanser

Oil cleansing refers to the use of natural oils as a cleanser to remove any excess oils or impurities in the skin. It may seem unacceptable to use oil for cleansing especially if you have oily skin, however, that is actually what is recommended. Look at it this way, your physics tells you “like attracts like”. In the same way, oil cleansing works to attract any sebum or excess oil trapped in your pores and clogged up with impurities. This will therefore allow the oil to pull out any oils and impurities from your skin.

We have the Miracle rejuvenating oil which can be used in this step. It contains Olive Oil, Myrrh, Frankincense and Lavender. These are all natural ingredients used in making the product. Olive oil is one of the oils highly recommended for oil cleansing.

How to use the Miracle rejuvenating oil

  1. With your face free from any water, take a small amount of the miracle rejuvenating oil into your palm, apply it throughout your face and massage it into your skin. Remember there is no rush while doing this, take your time. A good one to two minutes is good for this step. Allow the oil to get fully absorbed into the skin.
  2. Dip your washcloth in warm (close to hot) water, (make sure it doesn’t burn you), wring out the excess water and place the washcloth on your face. The steam from the cloth will open up your pores and help with removing any impurities in the skin. Wait until the wash cloth cools, then use it to gently remove any remaining excess oil that is laying on the skin surface.

Korean skincare step 2: Foam Cleanser

While the oil cleansing mainly focuses on oil, excess sebum and impurities, the foam cleanser is used to remove dirt, dust and sweat on the skin that if ignored may just add to the bad bacteria on your skin that could thrive and cause inflammation. Looking for a good cleanser that is suitable for your skin is very important because it can highly affect the result of your entire skincare routine. A water based cleanser is a good consideration for this step. The pH of the cleanser also matters. How do you know if your cleanser has a low or high pH? A cleanser with a high pH is most likely going to be foamier that one with a low pH. Also if your skin feels too tightened and dry after cleansing, it most probably is acidic with a high pH.

*Korean skincare step 3: Toner

What exactly is a toner? A toner is any water or alcohol that is used to restore the skins pH after cleansing. After using a foam cleanser your skin’s pH becomes alkaline which can cause inflammation and redness. Using a toner in your skincare will help keep this in check.

The Holy Water Facial Cleanser contains Frankincense hydrosol which is extracted using distillation from fresh frankincense resin, Frankincense essential oil and rosemary floral water.

It is 100% natural. The ingredients work to tone your skin, control sebum and reduce inflammation.

Flower water and floral water are descriptive, but now seriously outdated terms used to describe the condensate water that remains after the extraction of an essential oil by water or steam distillation. When essential oils are produced by either of these methods not all of the aromatic and healing principles held within the plant are actually captured in the essential oil.

Certain components are hydrophilic, which means they dissolve into water, and this produces what is variously known as a flower water, hydrosol or hydrolate. Whatever you choose to call it, the resulting fragrant water contains the very essence of everything that was contained within the plant when it was still alive and growing.

How to use the Holy Water Facial Cleanser as a Toner

  1. Put a few drops of the Holy Water Facial Cleanser on a cotton pad, or on your fingertips.
  2. Apply it on your freshly cleansed skin and pat it into your skin.
  3. Wait for it to be absorbed before continuing to the next step

Korean skincare step 4: Essence

An essence is a light product that is used to hydrate your skin in preparation for the incoming serums that are to absorbed into the skin. It contains active ingredients that are to penetrate deeply onto the skin tissue to allow for the next products to push deeply into the skin as well. There are different types on the market depending on skin types for better effectiveness of the product.

Put a small amount of essence on you palm, pat it gently onto the skin allowing absorption.

Korean skincare step 5: Emulsion

An emulsion is a light moisturizer that its main aim is to lock in any of the essential ingredients in your routine. It makes your skin feel hydrated, plump and supple. For oily skin however, you may feel a little greasy after using an emulsion. It is an ideal step for people with dry skin as it adds a layer of hydration under that of the moisturizer.

Put a small amount on your palm and pat it gently onto your skin.

*Korean skincare step 6: Serum

A serum is mainly a product which is mainly concentrated with many active ingredients and mainly targets on specific problem areas on your skin. This includes, dark marks, hyperpigmentation, acne scars etc.

The Miracle Facial Serum contains Tea Tree, Jojoba oil, Olive Oil, Myrrh, Frankincense and Boswellia. This serum contains the active ingredients Tea Tree and Myrrh and frankincense which help the skin in specific ways.

Serum is a skincare product you can apply to your skin after cleansing but before moisturizing with the intent of delivering powerful ingredients directly into the skin. Serum is particularly suited to this task because it is made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients.

The Myrrh and Frankincense help to heal the skin. The oils Jojoba and Olive both contain soothing properties that help to soothe the skin of inflammations and flare ups especially acne. Tea tree has been the holy grail for many years in curing acne. All the areas are targeted at the same time with the use of this serum.

How to use the Miracle Facial Serum

Rub a small amount that will cover all areas and massage it into the skin to allow circulation which will aid in absorption.

Korean skincare step 7: Sheet mask

Sheet masks are a really popular product in the skincare industry. They are made from different ingredients and for different skin targets. They contain active essences which a sheet of cotton is soaked into and stored in a packaging that will ensure total protection from air and allowing it not to dry out. The sheet mask is then placed onto the skin to allow for the full absorption of the essence deep into the skin layers. Considering the cotton sheet acts as a barrier, there is full concentration on the ingredients in the essence to seep into the skin compared to just applying using fingers onto the skin.

How to effectively use a sheet mask

  1. Remove the mask from the package
  2. Put the sheet on your face placing it according to the holes provided for the eyes, mouth and nose
  3. Let it sit on your skin for 15-20 minutes to allow for absorption
  4. Peel of the sheet mask from your face
  5. Rub in the excess essence that has remained on your skin for maximum absorption

Korean skincare step 8: Eye cream

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest and most sensitive than the other parts of your skin. Taking care of the skin around your eyes is vital. Appearance of dark circles is very common therefore eye cream helps curb this issue. The skin around the eye also ages quicker than the rest of your skin. Due its thinness, the skin around your eyes loses moisture quickly. All these problems can be made better with the use of an effective eye cream.

Put a small amount of eye cream on your finger tip and pat it on the skin around your eyes. Patting is better than rubbing it in on this part of your skin because it is delicate and can cause small tears on the top layer.

Korean skincare step 9: Moisturizer

Moisturizers are good for your skin to help with drying and hydrate the skin. No matter the type of skin you have, using a moisturizer is important. It’s not only made for people with dry skin. Moisturizers help to hydrate the skin, they act as a barrier for external factors such as the sun and loose dust.it also helps to improve the texture of the skin.

The Sacred revitalizing cream is made from organic shea, myrrh and frankincense, is 100% natural with no chemicals added, no preservatives, additives and contains no petroleum.

Take a small amount on your fingertips and rub it onto your skin

Korean skincare step 10: Sunscreen

Sunscreen protects the skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays which are harmful ultraviolet rays. These rays cause premature aging of the skin. Using sunscreen will help curb any skin sagging, fine lines wrinkles or sunburns. These harmful rays can cause cancer therefore with the help of sunscreen preventing them from penetrating the skin, it can help reduce the risk of cancer.

Sunscreens come with different SPFs. The higher the SPF The higher the protection.

Our products can therefore be effective in your skincare routine. They are 100% natural which is good for your skin with the fact that it reduces the amount of chemicals put onto your skin.
